Executive Director


Kelly Wetzler serves as Executive Director. Prior to joining Boniface Foundation, Ms. Wetzler held several roles at St. Anthony’s Medical Center including Interim CEO and Senior Vice President. Prior to joining St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Ms. Wetzler was employed by Viasystems Group, Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic components and a Hicks Muse private equity portfolio company. She served as Senior Vice President Corporate Development and Risk Management. Her responsibilities included initial evaluation of acquisitions, due diligence, acquisition financing, security offerings, private placements and special projects. Additionally, her responsibilities included investor and lender relations, as well as overseeing internal audit.

Associate


Laura Burian serves as Associate. Ms. Burian provides managerial and administrative support as well as leads the evaluation and coordination of grants. Prior to joining Boniface Foundation, Ms. Burian was employed by St. Anthony’s Medical Center working directly for the Chairman and CEO. Prior to joining St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Ms. Burian was employed by Viasystems Group, Inc. where she worked directly for the CEO.

President and Chairman of the Board


Winthrop B. Reed, III is a Member at Lewis Rice, specializing in Antitrust, Health Care, Information Technology, Class Action, Franchise Law and Commercial Litigation. Mr. Reed provides a significant amount of pro bono legal work to the Saint Louis Zoo. Mr. Reed serves on the board of directors of the St. Louis Zoo, Mercy Hospital South, Mercy Health East Communities, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, and the legal board member of Midwest Bankcentre.

Treasurer


James Powers joined Dent Wizard as their Chief Financial Officer in July, 2018. In August 2022, Mr. Powers became Sr. Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions for Dent Wizard. Prior to his time at Dent Wizard, Mr. Powers served as President and Chief Executive Officer of UniGroup, Inc. and Subsidiaries. Mr. Powers serves as board chairman of Mercy Hospital South and serves on the Rockhurst University St. Louis Leaders Council.

Secretary


Daniel Bippen serves as President at Kuna Meat Company, Inc., Managing Partner of KFS Development and is a past Corporate Secretary and Director of UniPro Foodservice, Inc. Mr. Bippen is an active member of the business community. He serves on the board of Mercy Hospital South, Midwest Bankcentre Advisory and Legal Board, and the Police Athletic League Board.

Tracy Mathis is an attorney at Lewis Rice, concentrating in health care law. She serves as primary or special counsel to regional health care organizations such as hospitals and physician groups. She advises governing boards and directors with respect to their responsibilities, obligations, and duties to each other, their shareholders, members, and other constituents as well as to applicable regulatory authorities or other third parties with supervisory functions. Ms. Mathis serves on the Board of Directors at Youth In Need and St. Louis Area Health Lawyers Association.
